• For studerende: Studerende (ikke phd-studerende), der er medlem af DSTS kan af DSTS få betalt indenrigsrejse (ikke fra Grønland og Færøerne) samt et billigt hotelværelse (se f.eks. Cabinn) i Aalborg. Kvitteringer for rejse / ophold afleveres til Amra Ibresevic i forbindelse med kurset.
• Antal deltagere: Der er plads til højst 35 deltagere i undervisningslokalet. Pladser tildeles efter først-til-mølle princippet. Skulle coronasituationen bevirke, at afstandskrav etc. fører til en reduktion i antal pladser, så er det de først tilmeldte, der får plads.
• Language on the course afhænger af deltagersammensætningen.

• Computing requirements:
  • A couple of sheets of blank paper and a pencil (fountain pen if available)
  • A computer with an installation of the latest R -version (4.1.1)
  • with the latest versions of the Epi package (2.44)
  • the popEpi package (0.4.8).
• Practicals with solutions. Includes the course program.
  The course is built around the practicals document.
• R code for all practicals.
• Very preliminary slides --- handouts as 1-ups or 3-ups or 10-ups.
• Related to the course topics:
  • Overview of basic concepts in survival analysis. A compressed overview of essential quantities and their interrelations.
  • Epi package website. Links to vignettes from the package and notes on survival and multistate modeling.
  • Epidemiology with R book website. Some of the course topics are covered in the book. Lots of material in the book is not covered in this course. Bendix is the autor, so this is purely commercial.
  • Modern demographic methods in epidemiology website with links to earlier courses of similar content, with links to papers of relevance. Some really outdated.
  • Practical Multistate Modeling with R and Epi::Lexis A draft book manuscript. This is work in progress, so prone to change at unexpected times. Nevertheless, any comments and suggstions are welcome.
